Welcome to Re:Launch, Nouveau Re:AL’s latest edition. We are so glad you are here.

Re:AL, Regarding Arts & Letters was established at Stephen F. Austin State University in 1968, and it has published dynamic, beautiful, and groundbreaking work in the past six decades. After a hiatus of several years, a dedicated team of graduate students and faculty members in the Department of English and Creative Writing set about reviving Re:AL into something new—Nouveau Re:AL. The hard work of many people allowed this relaunch to be possible. A new digital platform was built by Managing Editor J.S. Couch, and Submissions Editor and Art & Design Director Victoria Hoover designed the current Nouveau Re:AL website, curating and arranging a selection of her own art and photography to be featured in the edition. We would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Liz Tasker-Davis, the SFA English Department Chair, and Celia Ranniger, the department assistant, for their guidance and support. The Nouveau Re:AL editorial team has brought Re:AL back while keeping its core mission intact—showcasing exceptional creative writing from emerging and established voices.

The work in our Re:Launch edition is close to our hearts. We are grateful to our writers and our readers, and excited for this edition and all that is to come. Thank you.
