I love you because you care about machines—

feel sorry for my little fridge when I place hot sweetened coffee in it

to cool for the morning.

Poor little fridge, you say. Working so hard.

Nellie Bridge is a teacher and poet living in Sequim, Washington. Her poems explore porousness. Her current manuscript is inspired by Tacoma poet Richard Brautigan's work touching the relationships between humans and machines. Nellie's poems have appeared recently in Tethered Literary, Press Pause Press, Vagabond Multicultural, and Volume. She was recently honored to be named the next Poet Laureate of Clallam County, Washington.
